Karen Harper was still a kid when she began singing professionally.  A Tennessee native, Karen was born into a musical family immersed in jazz, gospel and classical music. Her young training in vocals and dance brought her onto the stage to star in professional musical shows eventually leading her to Los Angeles.
Since her move to L.A., Karen has acquired an impressive list of credits for television, film and live performance.  She established her vocal presence through live performances with pop, jazz and big bands, singing with such legends as Randy Newman, Enya, & Harry Connick, Jr. and on stages from Disneyland to Carnegie Hall, across the U.S., Japan and Russia.  As a studio vocalist her resume is even more extensive, having been invited to sing with acclaimed composers such as John Williams, Danny Elfman, Marc Shaiman, Thomas Newman, Michael Giacchino to name only a few.  Karen’s voice can be heard on over 150 films such as Star Trek, Men In Black, Tarzan, Spiderman, Oz:The Great and Powerful as well as TV shows from Pushing Daisies to Boston Legal and the Academy Awards, commercials such as State Farm, Barbie and McDonalds and video games such as World of Warcraft.   She’s been a featured soloist on albums and CDs from Disney and Warner Brothers and recorded with artists such as Josh Groban, Barbara Streisand, Muse, & Andrea Bocelli.
Karen’s silky tone is a rare joy and she has an ability to convey a deep sensitivity in every melody she sings.  A consummate musician, Karen reveals both a vocal strength and gentle spirit in her vocal delivery that touches all who listen.
